I´m presenting a solo set based in the use of Bass Clarinet and a set of 4 mini speakers, a retainer pedal, a loop pedal, a cigars box, and a walkman cassette in recording function, used only as a microphone amplifying the room and creating a slightly confusing reverberation, as well as a subtle (non piercing) feedback that is controlled, in intensity and pitch, moving the upper part of the cigars box, inside of which i place one of the mini speakers. The other three speakers are placed : One hanging from the ceiling, and two on the floor, under the audience´s chairs, amplifying in a very subtle and slightly confusing way, the harmonics made via multi phonics with the bass clarinet, that are retained, or repeated in very long distant time spots with the pedals. The Walkman cassette recorder takes the room and create a micro spatialisation that intends to act in the perception of the space, re contextualizing the use of the Bass Clarinet. This re contextualization intends to appeal to the inquiry capacities of the audience re shaping our presence as listeners and performers and the roll of the instruments as tools to stimulate awareness of collective presence in time and space. The bass clarinet has attached a tiny binaural microphone, that allows to amplify the overtones via the small speakers placed on the floor. The other two speakers (hanging and inside the cigars box) are bluetooth connected, what is part of their charm, due to the delay produced by this kind of information transmission. The lack of visible amplification system is part of the research, wondering and re shaping the perception experience, the audience is invited to. This set was presented live by the first time at a 2 nights Festival organized by Lucy Rialton at KM28, Berlin, on September 4th 2020.
